Recently Dawsey was banned from NGU for the pure thought that he was trying to "brute the SSH" of NGU.
Some of you may know but here is a bit about him, Dawsey has successfully helped many sites with security problems and helps many, many random sites that he finds vulnerabilities in. He contacts the admins and from there they work aside him and put their site back into working shape in order to keep out malicious users.
Now, why on earth was he banned I may say. I realise he used a vulnerability tool which scans websites for vulnerabilities which I can imagine he would have showed up on your security radars with his IP address. Now I no Dawsey, if he was trying to "brute the SSH" he is not thick and would cover his tracks using a proxy sock and on top of that a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Basically a VPN is a tool used for malicious circumstances and basically hides the exploiter's network details to the max and changes them all to the VPN provider's servers and IP address/MAC address.
So, my conclusion, I think he personally should be unbanned. He is a moderator over at Pv so no doubt is trustworthy in instance and he is available to contact on -
Since I'm the one who banned him, I just want to be clear on what he did. He attempted to log into the server via SSH using different username and password combinations, which can only be interpreted as an attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system. After he was caught he claimed to be testing NGU's security, but this is equivalent to attempting to break down the door to your house without your permission in order to determine if someone else would be able to break it down.
END OF LINE.
