dude ive been listening too dubstep for around 5 years now, first heard it at the festivals. and since UKF and shit like that has come around it has completly lost its old ways, turned soooo commercial and im starting to hate on it. the dubstep thats around now aint proper dubstep, its need a ragga influence in it. hence 'dub'. listen to people like mala, coki, digital mystikz, stenchman. **** the commercial "HUGE DROP" bullshit. chill and have a J :420:

Yea you're right, UKF isnt doing dubstep much justce... Also commercialising dubstep isnt a great move in my opnion either. But Dubstep has been constantly evolving since its very early roots in the 90's, and now we're seeing sub genres etc, but that's music, music is about variety and it has boundries which are there to be broken, you just have to accept it. Your logic is basically like saying 2pac isnt proper hip hop/rap because he was commercialised and wasnt like hip hop back in the day in the 80's. Know what i mean?

Dont get me wrong, my views are similar to yours, the dubstep community could do with alot more people like you that actually know about dubstep and its earlier days. Not just what they've heard on UKF..

:bro: props to that dude. i mean in some ways yeah it is a good thing the fact that it was such an underground thing and now alot of people know about it. all of a sudden round my area i see like 12 year olds hanging on the streets listenin to it haha. but like when i started listenin to it everyone absolutly hated it, like the caspa and rusko fabriclive. they were all goin its just 'shit bassline' haha. LOOK AT IT NOW! =D ..yeah there sub-genres to US, but to the people that dont know proper dubstep these sub-genre listeners think that its proper dubstep instead of a sub-genre of dubstep, which in turn is completly changing the name of dubstep. and thats the part which pisses me off man. know what i mean?

It pisses me off too mate, sometimes i really hate the dubstep community, especially when i read youtube comments on songs like "What the **** is this shit? Where's the filthy wobble? The drop is shit! It isnt even dubstep" etc etc... Even on new tracks like Borgore - Afro Blue. And straight away you know its kids that have only listened to tracks on UKF and maybe a couple others from the same artists.. I mean, its good that UKF have a very popular channel and gives artists the chance to get their shit heard to the masses.. But, i wish they would put alot more earlier stuff on their channel, give it a balance of old and new so these dumb kids might actually begin to appreciate that dubstep isnt all about a wobble and a huge drop.
