Alright so I'm speaking directly to you people living in the UK or any country over there that has a monarchy. In American Politics Class we were talking about monarchies, and the power of the Kings and Queens now, so how do you guys view the power your royalty has in comparison to parliament, and what is your view on them? Thanks in advance.
If the monarchy over here didn't bring in so much tourism money there's no doubt the lazy f*ckers would have been removed by now, the tw*ts do nothing but sit about all day spending our money :FU:

To be totally honest I don't see point in having a queen she does nothing apart from give speeches at Christmas like the post a little up from mine says that nobody watches
As a non Brit I like the monarchy in the modern era, especially over the last 10 yrs.
It seems like a self funding institution( tourism ) and it is a reminder past prestige.
Life must be difficult for them, living in a fish bowl and I feel a lot more respect for Charles and his sons since the death of Dianna.
It must be hard for him being publicly passed over for accession and his mother looks like she'll outlive the Queen mum before she let's anyone else take over.
I'm sure I would feel differently living in the UK, but any money saved by ending the monarchy would be pissed away in a heartbeat by the politicians anyway.
WOW, How dumb can some people on here get?. The Queen has NO power anymore. She doesn't oversee any laws or any changes in the country she signed all power over to government. The only thing she has power over is the Army which the government can outrule her on if needed.
