(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So at school my friends kept talking about 2012 so i got really nervous and went home and prayed lol. But when i googled 2012 i was re-leaved.

The Mayan calendar started something called The Long Count. It started August 11, 3114 BC. It is 1,872,000 days long, which sets up the ending date on December 21, 2012.
Many people think the world will end, but it could just be another scare. I'm a bit skeptical, myself. I think something devastating will happen on that date, but it won't be the end... maybe World War III will start, who knows?
Now the reason they Mayan Calendar is set to expire on that particular date is because of an elliptical alignment. It is on that very date that the Earth is in alignment with the sun, the Milky Way Centre, and Galactic Equator, while reaching the winter solstice. Depending on what source you believe, this is also the same date the Earth's processional age changes from Pisces to Aquarius. The average procession takes 2, 600 years to occur, making the alignment all the more rare. An alignment like this is so rare it takes more than several hundred lifetimes for this to happen.
Nobody knows what'll happen at the precise moment of alignment. Some say a polar shift, others thing the world will become unstable triggering an eruption of the super volcano underneath Yellowstone National Park or maybe the Earth will fall out of axis around the sun. It could be none or all of these things. Nobody knows.
But that's the basic story of December 21, 20012.
You'll get a much better explanation be going to the link below. It really cleared things up for me when I wondered this very same question. It also offers pictures to support the claim!

Hey, whoever created the calendar clearly had enough so he was like "...2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 - F*ck this "

There are too many threads like this. Nasa has said themselves that if the world was going to end by some universal activity we would know about it 20 years before it happened. This is a load of BS. Like the "Y2K" panic.

I heard about a theory but I can't find the source anymore, probably deleted or something happened to it.
Pluto isn't a planet, NASA soon discovered that Pluto is rotating around another planet, the planet Pluto is rotating is yet unknown, at the moment, it's called Planet X (Nibiru). When Planet X is orbiting around the sun, Planet Earth could be in Planet X's way when Planet X is orbiting, therefor causing a collision in 2012. That is the predicted date. I still remember it even though I watched the video like 2 years ago. It was on youtube, search up Planet X or Planet Nibiru
