Logan, who is 39, was attacked Friday, and suffered a brutal beating and sexual assault before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She is recovering in a U.S. hospital. Logan, CBS News' chief foreign affairs correspondent, is one of at least 140 correspondents who have been injured or killed since Jan. 30 while covering the unrest in Egypt, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

* Self-defense against Hundreds? I don't think so.

1st rule of Zombieland, Cardio. I didn't know it was that violent over there, it's a shame. Personally, I'd get the hell outta that city.

The Committee to Protect Journalists based in New York that at least 52 journalists were attacked and 76 were imprisoned during the protests in Egypt, which led to Mubarak step down after ruling the country for 30 years. It said they were all released.


The committee said that the press - is Mahmoud Ahmed Mohammed Al cooperation of the Egyptian - was killed while filming clashes near Tahrir Square.

Said Paul Steiger, chairman of the Committee to Protect Journalists and former managing editor of The Wall Street Journal - "the old regime in Egypt organized a campaign to stop the terrible news of this movement for change."


Steiger was speaking at a news conference to discuss the Committee's annual report, which dealt with the working conditions of journalists in more than 100 countries. The report said that 44 journalists were killed while 145 was deposited with the prison in 2010.

Yeah :y: Is it just contained to the main city, Cairo, I think, or is it a full blown national uprising?

It's all over Egypt. But well it started mainly in Cairo and strongly continued there. I live there by the way. HEART OF ACTION BBE! :carling:
