or on a bus

Not really sure about police vans, but i think it depends on what type of bus it is. Like a coach for example travels far distances and sometimes venture onto bypasses or motorways where an accident could prove fatal, so they require seatbelts because of the speeds they will be driving. Where as a bus that takes a route round town doesnt really need seatbelts because they stop alot and never really travel with any speed.

Probably an easy answer for google to sort out?

Not proper buses like those in London, there's never seatbelts.

My school bus has seat belts, and the last police van I was lifted it had seat belts on the back seat...

Its probably because if you have to ride the bus or back seat of a police car they don't care if you get hurt.

That made me lol, on a school trip we were waiting for the boat at the port, we had next to us a by full of OAP's and on the other side a Landrover wills kid dressed as Spiderman,climbing up an down the car seats, and there we were in the middle crying of laughter

Trust me bro Ive been in the back of a few there are seat belts, in vans and the cars.
