7 Food That Get You High

Little do people know that there really ARE food around the house that can get you high somewhat like Marijuana does up to somewhat shrooms feels like. But theres a downside to why its not commonly done. I wouldn't recommend doing really any of these, but its still interesting.

Nutmeg

Usually used as a spice and only at a very low dosage, was once very rare and expensive, which to this day still is. Around 10 dollars for 60 grams.

What you should know? It isn't that good of a hallucinogen. It won't kill you but it does make you feel like your in a nasty hangover. Also, it gives severe cottonmouth and very dizzy. Only the courageous druggies have tried this and would. I'd personally do it once for kicks.

Rye Bread

Rye grain is occasionally infected with the ergot fungus. Ergot contains several psychoactive chemicals such as ergotamine, a compound used in the synthesis of LSD.

What you should know? Its tainted and gets you sick. Don't try this.

Sarpa Salpa

Also known as salema porgy or the sea bream, this fish is indigenous to the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean. Although the fish's flesh is safe to eat, psychoactive chemicals can accumulate in its head. Those who are brave or ethnic enough to consume this fish's head run the risk of ichthyoallyeinotoxism, a scientific term for "You just ate a fish head--welcome to 48 hours of mind-blowing hallucinations!"

What should you know? Not every head gets you high and well you trip out and get very very fearful. Wouldn't want that.

Stilton Cheese

n 2005, a British Cheese Board study revealed that ingesting 20 grams of Stilton cheese could lead to wacky, nonsensical visions. The 75 percent of the male and 85 percent of the female participants reported seeing odd images such as vegetarian crocodiles and sentient toys not unlike Akira.

What you should know? Makes you breath smell very stinky. :n:
Also, you really only trip out in your dreams.

Mulberries

Ingesting large amounts of unripe mulberries can cause moderate hallucinations. We at Cracked would totally call dibs on patenting an unripe mulberry jam called "Cosmic Confiture," but, well, you know this is going to end badly. This is Cracked, and it's our job to teach you about all the scary shit in God's creation.

What you should know? Causes vomiting, shitting and flightiness.

Poppy Seed Bagels

Yes, these are the seeds of the opium poppy, the very same flower that has fueled much of the world's drug trade through history. Thus poppy seeds contain minute amounts of the opium alkaloids morphine and codeine, which give your bagel a nutty zing and can cause you to fail a drug test (as demonstrated in a famous MythBusters episode).

What you should know? You have to eat more than 1, more than 2, more than like 20. Yeah, have fun. :n:

Coffee

America's favorite legal stimulant is so prevalent that everyone forgets it's a drug. Our collective amnesia likely stems from the fact that a Starbucks tall coffee (12 oz.) contains 260 mg of caffeine, and caffeine intoxication kicks in at 250 mg. It's true, working citizens--we all go to work stoned! Medically stoned!

What you should know? Drinking up to 500 mg can get you sick.

This is for educational purposes, now if someone asks you to try some of this, you'll know whats up. The real downside to all this is that you have to eat large amounts of it.

Not everything I stated gets you high, I tried to state for each one what kinda high/hallucinogen it gives. Coffee i'd have to say is the more mild one but people still die from coffee, more people die from coffee than Marijuana which is funny. :y:
