Nahirnak had signed an agreed exclusion contract that prohibits him from entering Casino Nova Scotia. Nahirnak had known he had an addiction to gambling before he had signed it, due to over use of the casinos services in prior years.
Nahirnak went to try to test the exclusion in Febuary 2009, but was allowed entrance, so he started regularly going again on June 2009. He also "tested" by getting super drunk off free alcohol and getting cash loans that need photo ID. None of which he was booted out of the Casino
