(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sorry, no more Fallujah game coming out! You can thank to stupid morons who think it's an insult to design games about war!

Read this:

few weeks ago Konami announced its new tactical third person shooter (think 'Gears of War' style game play with the tactical elements of 'Ghost Recon'Winky Winky 'Six Days in Fallujah'. The game was to chronicle the second battle of Fallujah which took place a few short years ago.

If done well the game could be a tasteful and respectful recounting of those six days. If not... The game could trivialize the loss of lives in that city.

'Six Days in Fallujah' was announced to controversy (shocker). Outrage came from all directions. Konami was lambasted by veteran groups for thinking to make a game of the battle. World War II games are very popular and entertaining, some fired back. But the war in Iraq is currently underway. The back and forth on the issue escalated and got a little out of hand. Konami said they wanted realism and a tasteful game; that's why both sides of the conflict, Marines and the insurgent forces, were consulted. Oh no's! When someone is consulted for a project like this they are monetarily compensated, at least that's the way it works here in America. So then did Konami pay those insurgents? Did Konami put money into the hands of those who actively seek to kill American soldiers? Konami denies ever paying for consultation with insurgents but does admit to consulting with them.

Now Read THIS!:

Faced with criticism from former soldiers, their families and activist groups, Konami Digital Entertainment is scrapping its plans to publish Six Days in Fallujah, a video game that was modeled after some of the most intense fighting during the war in Iraq. Konami planned to release the game in 2010, but once news about Six Days got out, critics in the U.S. and the U.K. slammed the title as insensitive and inappropriate. The roughly month-long conflict in November 2004 left more than 2,000 dead (including Iraqi civilians).

A Konami spokesperson told Japanese newspaper Asahi that the company gave up on the game after seeing the reaction "in the United States and hearing opinions sent through phone calls and e-mail." Groups like Gold Star Families Speak Out put out press releases arguing that "the war is not a game," and Iraq war vets?some, gamers themselves?panned Six Days as "foolish" (via Kotaku). It's not clear whether developer Atomic Games will try to find another publisher, or whether Konami also owned rights to the game's concept.

North Carolina-based Atomic focuses on historically accurate war games; previous titles include D-Day: America Invades and Close Combat: The Russian Front, among others. For Six Days, the studio worked with about three dozen soldiers that had actually seen combat in Fallujah to ensure that the game was realistic; Atomic also talked to Iraqis that were involved in the conflict, but the team told the WSJ that they declined to include commentary from either side to avoid appearing pro- or anti-war.

I AM SICK OF THIS FU¢KING BULLSHIT! The whole "no games about war bs is OLD NEWS."

Why did they pay insurgents? So they can pay for more AKs...

Interview the insurgents that were captures and have to talk or they get water-boarded. I was looking forward to this game but if it wasnt perfect many people would be mad. And I dont think a Japanese company can tell much about something they are not involved in at all.

So it's okay to make war-based movies but not games.

Well I guess we will have to turn off the Military Channel. Oh and recall ALL the war games that have been coming out since Ninetendo. Let's see, what about the actual 3d simulators that they use to train fighter pilots and even infantry now-a-days? Deleted!

So they can make sure a war game isn't released but within the military around the world the strategies they come up with for missions are called "war games". Doesn't that seem a little strange that war games are allowed in real life, but you can't go through missions in a safe environment such as your living room?

The bottom line here is that some prick got wind of this game and took it upon himself to be the "hero" for the anti-violent zealots that want to control all and everything that happens in the world. It doesn't really matter that it's war, guns, violence, civilians OR they're twisted idea that "this battle is happening currently"(we are not in Fallujah anymore). It's just that they want they're way because they are whiny little babies that get they're way. Assholes.
