Not at all, Europe, Africa and the Americas are moving away from each other while Asia, Oceana and the Americas are moving closer together. Iceland, is technically a part of both Europe and the Americas so Iceland is splitting apart in half but the world is not.

Way back I think the Vikings did the name on purpose to trick people so they could be plentiful on food and other resources.

The only reason Iceland is any good is because of it's use of geothermal energy, it's not that great.

If I'm not mistaken(I have a few friends who currently live in Iceland)...It's called Iceland because the founders did not want people coming to the beauty they found so they gave it a shitty name hoping no one would come to a place called "Iceland"...or some shit like that
