I forget, does lent represent the 40 days that Christ wandered the desert and was tempted by the devil?
Catholics are to give up eating meat on Friday's during this period?
It ends on ash Wednsday, right before Easter or Palm Sunday, a week before Easter?
Is it only a Catholic tradition?

Just curious on the reasons and rules of the custom...
