Because my username is true, I was looking through the thread and started seeing how some folks have posted in there and several times after and watched their Rep power climb. Being bored I started writing down where people were in November and where they are now. I used their current rep points divided by 95 to get their estimated current rep power.
I did not copy anyone that had edited their posts and I organized the names in Alphabetical order ( so you can find yourself quicker) and included most people that posted in there and are seen around the site.( over 75 members are listed)

DerrekTrotter has gained the most over this period, but it is fun to see how you have been doing, If you posted in this thread.

I know everyone says they don't care about rep, but its interesting to see and the bottom of the column shows the total rep starting, today and how many thanks it would take give out all that.

It is just for Fun and not meant to be a knock on anyone :p
If you never posted in there then don't bother looking :O

Hope you enjoy, Ended up putting more time in this one than I meant..Winky Winky

By the way to check your current rep power(the amount of rep you give out when hitting the rep button). It is your total rep points divided by roughly 95( ranges from 85 to 105 depending on your current standing)

405 or 414 is a desirable number either way.

I searched for the formula, but can't seem to find it and would have hated having to apply it to 78 people... Winky Winky

I don't care for the whole "Rep" thing nobody gives any outside of their circle of friends so who gives a fug? Winky Winky

Cool thread though not many people know about "Rep power".

Actually I have about 2 friends on this site and several acquaintances. I think I have 7 on my friends list, Where the hell have you other 5 been?? Winky Winky

There is some truth to what you say about select groups, but as a whole most repped threads have some unique aspect to them that gets a lot of attention.

The top 20 on the site have enough that people will thank just on some off chance that they will recieve a rep tap from a big hitter.
It makes their Rep Bat even bigger and that cycle continues.

I often thought that D.T. could do a thread title that said Boo and Body that said Who and get a TOTW and 500 points. He never would do that and realizes that it has just become a condition for him to deal with. It's really not his fault and if you ever looked at his message page you would see that he responds to hundreds of requests per month.

I was never one to figure how to get into the IN clique , but what happens with them is not Boosting, It is just a fact of life.
It starts in school and never really changes throughout life.
You make a couple of good friends and you are ahead of the curve in my opinion.

Some form of public reconigition is nice and required here, but the real value of being noticed comes from the PM's and post comments.
There is nothing better than getting a nice message from someone saying they like you or a post you did. At least when you are on a forum..

Real life Family and friends is what really matters in life, but this can be a place to have friendships as well.

Sorry for the length, Think I just had a brain fart :O

Finally someone on this website with some knowledge and doesn't just shoot everyone down in flames. Smile

I agree its just select groups, you usually know which one. They always defend themselves instantly like they done here..
