I voted yes because I know that 2012 is real - it exists. It is the year after 2011 and before 2013. Be more careful with how you word your topics.

As for if the world is going to end in 2012, no, it's not. It's just that the "Great Cycle" (period of 5,126 years. The current one is supposed to end in 2012) seems like a big deal. And the Mayans were pretty smart. People automatically jumped to the conclusion that it was the end of the world.

EDIT: Actually, the Mayans marked the end of a Great Cycle as a cause for celebration. There's no reason to believe the world will end on this date.
