PROS:
:y: They're more in tune with humans, sense wise..Dogs can understand our language,in what we ask them to do (for example: sit),they can sense our feelings if we're angry,happy,sick etc..they're more emotional.
:y: Dogs show their love and sadness in a similar way that we humans can relate and feel.
:y: Dogs can be trained to "help" people with disabilities.
:y: Dogs can and have saved peoples' lives(some dogs will risk their own lives to save their owners).
:y: Dogs have the intelligence to adapt to our lives.
CONS:
:n: They eat more,therefore they sh*t more.
:n: They can bark til' the cows come home,which can be annoying and a disturbance.
:n: If not trained properly they can destroy pretty much anything their jaws can get a hold of.
:n: They dig holes.
:n: They can be potentially dangerous to humans(depending on the breed and size of dog).
:n: They are more prone to health problems..example: hips,joints etc.
:n: They can carry fleas and ticks on their body.
CATS
PROS:
:y: They're friggin clean animals.Unlike dogs,cats will clean themselves by way of licking their fur.
:y: They don't urinate and sh*t everywhere unlike dogs,but will poop in the litter tray provided for them as they're quite fussy where they want to do the business.
:y: They eat very little.
:y: They're low maintenance.
:y: They're very quiet,and can be kept as pets in apartments without other nosy neighbours suspecting that you even have an animal with you.
:y: They show their love and affection in a very different way like purring and rubbing against you.
CONS:
:n: They will scratch the f*ck out of your furniture no matter how many times you tell them not to(regardless if you buy them scratchie post).
:n: Cats do not understand our language and will not listen or obey to your commands.
:n: They cough up fur balls.
:n: They can carry fleas and ticks on their body.
:n: They will hunt and kill birds if left to roam outside(and sometimes bring the kills home).
:n: They don't 'feel/sense' your emotions like dogs do.
:n: They will not protect you if they sense danger and will flee.
:n: They can not be trained to do tasks like dogs.
:n: They have very little health problems(if fed properly and does not become obese).
