The Birmingham Science City did a survey and asked a bunch of british people if popular science fiction items were real

• Nearly 50 percent of adults believe that memory-erasing technology exists.
• More than 40 percent believe that hover boards exist.
• Almost one-fifth of adults believe they can see gravity.
• 2 out of 10 people believe that invisibility cloaks (as seen in Harry Potter) are real
• 3 out of 10 people believe you can move objects with your mind

I added the last two because they were mentioned in the article but not in the list. This was conducted to prove that people have trouble distinguishing between science fiction and reality. I would have expected to see this conducted in the US but I was shocked when it was the UK. Pretty funny if you ask me, score one for 'Murica!

Indeed, when i was about 12 my school took my year to Cadburys world and i remember being on the bus driving through birmingham and i did not see one white person for around 15 minutes until we got near the centre, just pure asian... No racist intent btw. But even their accent sounds dumb lol... "Hi, my names Dave from Autoglass" .. That advert cracks me up everytime.

Hahah i had a similar experience when we went to stay in a hotel with my school back in november. We were going to the NEC arena the next day so we were allowed out to the city center (were 15, we had to stay within a certain radius :/) on that night. Me and a few freinds walked down and seriously every single one of them was either middle-eastern or asian. We went to buy some food and drinks from costcutters and surprise surprise it was an Indian! Ahh well at least they work hard unlike some who come to england just for benefits :/

(No racist intent either)

You still spelt believe wrong in the quote. You put beleive.

Also, Birmingham is full of chavs high on weed, so that would account for 90% of those results, the other 10% were probably 6 year old kids who watch too much TV.

One thing for sure,
An English major still only has a 50-50 chance of getting all of the I/E combinations right.

The damn C thing only plays into about 30% of them.
