(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As simple as that. Do you think it is time that Church and State are treated separately? For me it is a yes anytime. It should not be together ever, and when you are in the government you should not quote from the Bible Winky Winky

They already are separate. Sure, we have God on our money and in our pledge, what's it matter? It doesn't make a difference. It doesn't hurt anyone. Removing God altogether will just cause riots and chaos and whatnot. So what if people quote the Bible? It's a book that has stood the test of time... to a certain extent. There's no reason to make such a big deal about it.

LOL it's lasted all of time, except for all of the different edits and interpretations.

Sure it's not the most reliable of books, but it makes people feel better to hear that someone higher up shares their beliefs.

I know. It's like how today I heard two kids discussing about God. They couldn't be atheists because they couldn't comprehend how we just are here. There is enormous amounts of evidence to back it up, yet it is ignored. I had to shut my mouth as I didn't want to upset them even though their reasons were truly pathetic.

Sure, it's upsetting to see that we as a whole are still so ignorant, but it's times like your example when you really need to keep your mouth shut. You can't just go around telling people there is no God. It's like telling a little kid the truth about Santa - the magic is gone and it will never come back. You don't have the right to take away the sense of security people feel from believing in God. You might think that telling them is the right thing to do, but "ignorance is bliss." It's not your place to take away that bliss unless someone directly attacks your beliefs.

I'm not saying you've done anything wrong yet, but the little bit that I have gathered from your posts suggests (I know I'm about to pull a Preacher psychoanalysis here and I may be completely wrong; I don't know you) that you are one of those "proud" atheists. You converted to Atheism and it seems that you now are trying to constantly attack organized religion in even the smallest of ways. From removing the little traces of God in the government, to the way you treat some people in the God vs. Fact thread.

I'm not trying to be rude - this is just what I can tell from the posts that I have seen from you. I just think that you should be aware of how you're coming across to others. As I said, to me, you appear to be one of those "Proud" atheists and that you'll declare your beliefs when given the slightest opportunity. But actually doing that in your daily life just makes you look like a jerk (not saying you've done this, because, once again, I don't know you).

I didn't mean to get so in to that, but it's just that I've been noticing that more and more of your posts are just violently attacking religion, just thought you might want to know how you're coming across to me. If you feel I was out of line, I'm sorry.

Do a barrel roll!
I agree with Nikolai, I feel like menial sayings that relate to religion which don't really influence the establishment of society much, if they took them out, I wouldn't care, but many others would. There's no point to start up unnecessary conflict.

Yea I realize I can come across harsh sometimes. I don't know if I am proud necessarily. In my life though I am often surrounded with people who dislike or almost get offended over my beliefs and continue to pesture me.
