(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Starting with Fight Night Champion, EA Sports has decided to follow Ubisoft's lead in ditching paper instruction manuals in favour of a 'manual' option on the game menu that enables you to access instructions via the game disc.

Future EA Sports titles will follow Fight Night Champion's example, which came with a single slip of paper with a Crysis 2 advertisement one side and the EA online pass code on the other, as well as a small warranty pamphlet that reads, "Thank you for supporting our efforts to significantly reduce paper in our products."

EA's game manuals have been getting increasingly thin lately anyway, meaning that the days of weighty full colour instruction manuals might be numbered. Still, how often have you actually read a video game instruction manual? Almost never, right?
