Sign #1: red or bloodshot eyes , Plain and simple alot of teens are passing this as "allergies" . When in reality they are cannabis users . A common way for teens to hide this is sun glasses . If the teen is wearing them indoors or when its cold outside way to often.
Sign #2: Extreme Hunger , Pro cannabis people argue this often that the marijuana should be legal for people who have a low food disorder (anorexia) . A common side effect is hunger , Many teens eat anything they can find in the fridge . They just dash out with snacks (referred as "munchies") and gorge themselves in a dark place.
Sign #3: Apathetic attitude , Bassicaly when your high you dont have a care in the world . Which is a reason why many teens often resort to cannabis because they are overly stressed . However consider other options before taking this method . If you do feel like you need this you must be a certain age and have a prescription from a doctor (not a hard process) .
Sign #4 : Trouble concentrating , many cannabis users do ignore this but most of them have it . They can "space out" in conversations that may be important . Which is why most users dont do very well in school.
Sign #5: Social Withdrawal , This is one that i honestly feel that isn't a likely symptom but felt it should be included , Some teens do use cannabis as an escape from the real world "problems" . However weed is often found in parties and many teens use the term "spark me up" meaning if you can share your cannabis with me ( if you have a MMJ and they dont its illegal)
Sign #6: Missing money , This is one that is very common . Many teens live off an allowance and minimum wages . With things to buy to maintain there social status (clothes , gadgets , etc) it is obvious that they will resort to stealing from the parents wallet/purse
Sign #7: The smell , This is one that NO SMOKER can hide . The stench of marijuana is exotic and strong . You will pick up an alien stench in there clothes , room , car , etc . Many teens do try to hide it using perfumes or air filtering products
What can you do?
#1 : Have a honest conversation and tell them the dangers as well as why they shouldnt do it .
#2: A Simple THC test ( You can buy the kit online anonymously)
