Astors if you got the money. A bit nicer sound quality + they are hard to breake.

save your money and buy turtle beach or steel series.

Astros are great: amazing sound quality, great durability and top class customer support. I received a free replacement cable for my controller within days of the ticket being sent off. Also, the new A40s just came out, so it would be wise to buy them.

Trittons are the better headset but I havent used the other type of hedset very much

How can argue that the Trittons are a better headset without coming with statistics as to why they may be better or perhaps without having some insight on the other product?

I have tried the Trittons AXPros and the Astros X40.

I personally prefer the Astros X40, although I was able to soundwhore more efficiently with my Turtle Beaches PX21.

Sadly those were cheap quality products that broke easily each month [seriously]. I've spent time taking care of them and they just stop working all of a sudden, otherwise I'd be going with Turtle Beaches.

The a40s are way more comfortable. The Trittons are good but they aren't the same as a40s, Astros are top of the line. From the moment you open the box they will woo and wah you. To answer your one question, yes gameplay with a headset is definitely better. It should improve your ratios as long as you play cautiously.
