I personally believe and have believed for a while that in fact we did evolve over the millennia and also that god does exist what exactly god is, is it self the question, the Aztecs and Mayans have depictions of gods in what seems to be space shuttles and rockets maybe to go to outer space or maybe even inner space, not just them but countless numbers of civilizations also have drawings and hints as to where their own respective gods come from
if you really think about it, it isn't impossible to believe that the bible is real in its teachings as well as it isn't impossible to believe that we might in fact just be a huge science project that god created
I am willing to bet that no Christian has ever thought of the fact that god maybe be an extraterrestrial with divine powers (i say divine because they would have to be to create life and the conditions to sustain life) maybe we were created so "god" could see the way we live, interact, adapt and evolve to certain conditions. i think of us a species in the same way as an ant colony that has been put in an ant farm to be observed
"god" created us but not in his own image but as bacteria that he has patiently been observing over the millennia, we evolved from that bacteria into the "sapien" race that we have come to call ourselves, we are now known as HUMAN and some believe in "god" and some in "evolution" but whats to say that "god" didn't intend for us to evolve certainly if he gave us the knowledge of evolution there must be a good reason for it, whats to say that we aren't in fact still evolving and the ones that do not believe in evolution will not progress and evolve with the rest of us and eventually die off
in conclusion i believe that "god" a divine being of sorts created us and is just watching us to see where we go and how we progress through evolution
