Features of NGU You May Have Never Known

A few weeks ago I discovered some features/options I never knew about. I decided to make this thread to inform you on some of the "secret" features of NGU

1. Request a Read Receipt
When sending a personal message, you can click advanced and have the option to request a read receipt. What this does is when they receive your message they will have to confirm they read it. 2. Downloading PM's
If you would like to download your pm's for any reason, click You must login or register to view this content., then scroll down to the bottom and pick whether you would like to download in XML, CSB, or Text format.

3. Several Bypasses
If you post, send a lot of pm's, or search a lot, this is a great couple of options for you! These take off the time limits so you don't have to wait anymore! 4. Site FAQ

5. All Forum Staff
Most of you know this one but some don't. If you go to the front page and scroll all the way down you will see a "View Forum Staff", right above the user list. Here you can see all the staff members of NGU!

6. Empyting Sent and Received Messages Folder
Click You must login or register to view this content. or navigate to You must login or register to view this content. / You must login or register to view this content.. Now here just click "Empty Folder" for which ever you want to empty! Useful if you have a packed inbox!

7. Close Thread When Posting
You can actually make a thread and have it closed before it's even posted! Simply click "New Thread", then scroll to the bottom of the page and check the box that says "Close this thread after you submit your message." Now when you submit new thread it'll already be closed!
Note: Just found out this is staff only!

8. Contacts Popup
Pretty handy for on the go messaging. Instead of going to a user's page and selecting pm, just click on the "Quick Links" menu, then click on "Open Contacts Popup." From here you can check any users you wish to message then scroll down and select "PM Users."
Note: Only users on your friends list will be here.

Knew all except download, may bypass when I'm bothered =D!

your right alot of the new kids have no idea... i used to know alot of bbcode back in the day but when you stop using it you forget, and i'm re learning a lot of this stuff...
