Wanted Dead or Alive
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so my laptop currently has 2 gigs of ram and I'm looking to double that. I went to crucial.com and had It scan my computer and it came up with 2 almost identical choices...

As you can see the only difference is that #. I have no Idea what that number is, and I wonder If that would justify a 15$ Price increase. Help would be appreciated =Sad Awesomey:

Edit: I just noticed more differences between them. The 6400 Says it's CL=6 and DDR-2 800. And the 5300 is CL=5 and DDR-2 667. Again I have no idea what this means.

take it to like a bestbuy or some computer store and ask them out of the two which one is better:p

@iKeep, The people at my BB aren't really the most knowledgable bunch.

@FoxkaZ, I'm sort of on a budget of $100, and my laptop can only recognize a maximum of 4g of RAM. All the DDR3 ones Isaw were like 8-16gig ram...

the otehr 2 numbers you noticed represent the frequency in Hz, so the one with 800 is faster, so go for the mosre expensive one as its faster mSmile

Put in your computer specs and it tells you what RAM is right for you. Smile

I am assuming you have DDR 2 ram? Get the 6400.
