Maybe the U.S. will adopt virtual representation as did England did with it's American colonies.

Im from Puerto Rico and I think it should be annexed but with all the goverment problems here it will end in nothing.....

They receive benefits like healthcare, education, transportation, etc. About half of them want to be a state, and the other half don't.

But... they have no representation in the House or Senate. I see what you're saying though, for the most part I think Americans are the similar in this debate. It would throw people off if we had 51 states.
