FACTS ABOUT EACH DRINK!!!

Coke: Coca-Cola was first shipped in used whiskey kegs and barrels, but they were painted red to give them a distinctive mark. The color red has been associated with the product ever since. More than 5 billion bottles of Coca-Cola were consumed by military personnel during WWII. There are 7,000 Coca-Cola products consumed worldwide every single second! It took 58 years--until 1944--to sell the first billion gallons of Coca-Cola syrup. Today, that billion gallon mark falls approximately every 7-1/2 months!

Pepsi: Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink that is produced and manufactured by PepsiCo. Invented in 1898 and introduced as "Brad's Drink", it was later renamed as Pepsi-Cola on June 16, 1903.From the 1930s through the late 1950s, "Pepsi-Cola Hits The Spot" was the most commonly used slogan in the days of old radio, classic motion pictures, and later television. Its jingle (conceived in the days when Pepsi cost only five cents) was used in many different forms with different lyrics.

Mountain Dew: People may Refer to pepsi as something that takes sperm away from us men. That is not true /facepalm If will only effect younger children that are still in the developmental process. A revised formula was created by Bill Bridgforth in 1958. The Mountain Dew brand and production rights were acquired by PepsiCo in 1964, at which point its distribution expanded more widely across the United States.

RootBeer: Root beer is a carbonated, sweetened beverage, originally made using the root of a sassafras plant (or the bark of a sassafras tree) as the primary flavor. Root beer, popularized in North America, comes in two forms: alcoholic and soft drink. Although roots are used as the source of many soft drinks in many countries throughout the world (and even alcoholic beverages/beers), the name root beer is rarely used outside North America and the Philippines.

Dr.Pepper: Dr Pepper is a soft drink, marketed as having a unique flavor. The drink was created in the 1880s by Charles Alderton of Waco, Texas and first served around 1885. Dr Pepper was first nationally marketed in the United States in 1904 and is now also sold in Europe, Asia, Australia (as an imported drink) and South America. Variants include a non-high fructose corn syrup version, Diet Dr Pepper, as well as a line of versions with additional flavors, first introduced in the 2000s.

Sunkist: Sunkist is a brand of orange- and lemonade-flavored soft drink launched in 1979. Sunkist was first licensed by Sunkist Growers to the General Cinema Corporation, the leading independent bottler of Pepsi-Cola products at the time. The soft drink was the idea of Mark Stevens, who foresaw the potential based on market research which indicated that, worldwide, orange was the third best selling soft drink flavor (largely due to The Coca-Cola Company's Fanta brand).

Hawian Punch: Hawaiian Punch is a brand of fruit punch drinks (containing 5% fruit juice) owned by Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. (DPS). It was created in 1934 by A.W. Leo, Tom Yates, Ralph Harrison as an ice cream topping in a converted garage in Fullerton, Calif.; customers later discovered that it made an appealing drink when mixed with water. They formed Pacific Hawaiian Products to produce the beverage. R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company bought Pacific Hawaiian in 1962. Procter & Gamble bought Hawaiian Punch from Del Monte Foods, spin off from RJR Nabisco in 1989, in 1990. Procter & Gamble sold Hawaiian Punch to Cadbury Schweppes in 1999. Dr Pepper Snapple was spun off from Cadbury Schweppes in 2008.

7up/Sprite: Sprite is a transparent, lemon-lime flavored, caffeine free soft drink, produced by the Coca-Cola Company. It was introduced in the United States in 1961. This was Coke's response to the popularity of 7 Up, which had begun as "Lithiated Lemon" in 1929. It comes in a primarily silver, green, and blue can or a green translucent bottle with a primarily green and blue label. In 1978, Sprite became the market leader position in the lemon soda category.
