(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright so I whent to a diversity celebration assembly today at school. I thought it was a waste of time, and a disgrace to America. They were trying to show slide show pictures of all cultures, and they did a good job, but I noticed something, America didn't have any part in the slide. It's because America has no real cultral difference that makes us a great nation. We have been so open to immigration, and accepting all cultures that we lower our reputation in the mean time.

The point I'm trying to make is America is starting to just be a place for others to leach from. Do you agree or not? Please post comments below

DANGIT I FORGOT TO ADD POLL. how can I add it now? Lol

America has only existed for about 300 years. Now take in the fact we when began we were a melting pot, it makes sense we have very little cultural separation. "Leach" is a bad term for this.

True, but in the 40' - 60's we actually had culture, and very popular, wealthy and attractive culture. Now it's just known as a place to try and make money, and nothing more.

Do a barrel roll!
Sorry Norman, this is going to sound cliche. But honestly that is just an ignorant and overall stupid statement. What's American? Nothing. America is a blend of various European cultures, if anything America is "leaching" (lern2spell) from the rest of the world. Burgers are German, fries are French, pizza's Italian, the statue of liberty is actually French, and most of the founding fathers were British.

America doesn't have it's own culture not because of immigration, it's because we never had enough time to develop one in the first place. Places like Mesopotamia, Egypt, China have all had around 5000 years to develop a distinctly different and unique culture which works for them, and America's had like 300.

Again, learn to spell, please. And Mexicans come here because they want money, they want stuff, they want a higher living standard which they can earn in America. And frankly our country would absolutely fail if we somehow managed to bar all illegal immigrants, they do all the jobs we don't want to do. If they left, it wouldn't mean more opportunities for Americans, it means some industries would fail without their cheap labor, Americans won't work minimum wage overtime in ridiculous working conditions. But truth is without the actual manufacturing being in America, our economy is going to decline. That's why everyone bitches about outsourcing.

If anything we're "leaching" them by taking away cheap labor without regulation in slavish conditions from them and giving next to nothing in return.

Lolwhut? No, we were rich then because after WWII, everyone got ****ed over and lost tons of shit, all we lost was a harbor (economically, we lost lives but still a relative few amount to other counties like Britain or USSR) . We're poor now cause we're idiots and go off and fight wars in foreign countries for no apparent reason, then we cut stuff like education, infrastructure and health in order to pay for wars that don't do shit for us. And this in turn lowers our education, healthcare, and infrastructure, which then lowers the overall productivity of the country, and then we get even poorer because we have more dipshits who can't do shit.

But still, being economically stable doesn't mean you have a distinct culture.
