R.I.P the 11 year old boy who fell off the 30ft ZipWire in Greenwood forest park today at 4.40pm, if you have a heart you would copy this message!♥

The Story :

AN ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy was killed when he plunged from a zip wire at a Gwynedd adventure park.

The child was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after he fell from the ride at Greenwood Forest Park near Caernarfon.

But doctors couldn’t save him and he died in Ysbyty Gwynedd this afternoon, police said.

North Wales Police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have now launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The boy fell from the park’s newest ride, the Swamp Flyer - a 145-metre-long zip wire that crosses through tree tops. It is the longest ride of its kind in Wales and was only opened on Monday, April 18.

Steve Williams, operations manager for the park said staff were devastated by the tragedy and the park was closed immediately after the boy fell at 3.30pm.

Mr Williams said the boy had been visiting with his family and was not thought to be from the North Wales area.

He said: "I can confirm that the boy fell off our new attraction the Swamp Flyer. He fell and was airlifted to hospital but was unfortunatley fatally wounded, he was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd by air ambulance but he died.

"The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and will be carrying out their own formal investigation.

"All I can say is the safety kit was examined at 10am in line with out normal safety procedures." He added: "We deeply regret what’s happened. We are all devastated."

This is terrible thoughts and prayers out to the family, but next time use a flat color and lose the underlines, please. Hard to read.

When you wake up and get mauled to death by Velociraptors... I'll be the very first to say the same about you.
