Depends on the genre of "scary" that you are looking for. Here are some suggestions:

1. Paranormal Activity 1 or 2 (more modern, some people were scared)

2. Halloween series (good classic slashers)

3. Nightmare on Elm Street (2010 version. It's modern. It's pretty descent, not the greatest)

That's all that I can think of. This genre has really died (no pun intended) out of the last 10 years or so. What is released from the horror genre is usually cheaply made with horrible acting that has no solid script.
