If they love each other, that's good. Get married. They don't need to advertise it for weeks and make a huge deal over it, spend all of that money and put it on T.V for hours.

Daddy's home.
I didn't give a ****. Did you know Kate's dress cost £250 000? Quarter of a million for a wedding dress to be used for a few hours. Sure, they can broadcast it on TV, I mean he is a future King, even if they have no power, it's still nice to have a Monarchy. It's our history. But everything has been dominated by the wedding. Papers, TV, facebook hell even sickipedia and this site, kind of. All the security that they had, all the helicopters flying about, snipers on the roofs, plain clothes officers, officers, dogs, armed police, flying squad military (even though it is their job and they do that everyday) as well as their own bodyguards. If you wanted to commit a crime, then would have been the perfect time.

Can’t trickshot me!
how much do you reckon outside broadcasters paid to show coverage of the wedding? my guess an awfull lot more than £20mill. so i think we actually profited from it, not to mention tourism

i have to agree, yes it may have been over hyped but it definitely increased tourism, many Americans and Australians where at the wedding which means more money for us, plus the expenses other countries have to pay to broadcast it, and considering it was watched globally i would think that would be quite a sum. overall i do think it was over hyped and i really couldn't care less but i completely disagree with people who say the government lended all our money (taxpayers) to help out with the wedding without getting a fair amount back from the advertising and tourism.

I don't mean to offend, but the "royal family" in my opinion is just a bad mark on British History. The good thing is now-a-days and for quite a while, they have no affect on politics. They're just celebrities that are famous because they're famous. I personally can't wait for the damned "queen" to die.

P.S. (i for some odd reason type as if this is a letter)
Why are all of the "royal family" members and their spouses so hideous when I've seen so many beautiful British people?
