They're a joke, and there's quite literally no reason for them to have the right to complete and utter luxury at our expense.

They don't deserve it and I hate them for it.

They're allowed? You do realise we're paying for it(the taxpayer), so why should their wedding be paid for and no-one else's?

Actually, only a little bit of money was from the tax payers was used. The royal family is quite rich. Also, why should Obama get free plane rides? Why should we pay for his plane? Why should we pay for his security? Why should we pay.....

We pay because without them the country would most likely fall apart.

They're rich? They don't work, IOW all their money is actually ours... or it was, at least.

And w/o the monarchy we'd do just fine, we still have a government in place and in reality the monarchy do near to nothing to deserve the wealth they're born into.

Honestly, it is complete bullsh**. It makes no sense to terminate the monarchs all together. They hold no true power, just financial that is paid for by the tax payer.

We aren't talking about political affairs. We are talking about "royalty" that holds no power and has no importance. If either one of them died from a heart attack, guess what. It would have no true effect. Yes, people would be sad, we would move on.
