This used to happen to me alot; once a month about 3 years ago. I could hear my heart beat really loud, couldn't move, and coudln't do anything apart from lying there. It felt like i was the only one left in the world and when my mum woke up and i heard her, i would snap back to reality. I would have a headache for the rest of the day that would kill.
I had started puberty when i was 11 and i never knew the reason why i was acting like this. It happened one time where i didn't wake up, but i shouted and screamed for my mum; without realizing it. The next thing i knew was that i was in hospital with doctors standing round me. I had a seizure/fit caused by testosterone that releases huge doses during puberty each month. How old are you? If your 11-21 years old i suggest you go to the doctor and tell them about this, they will arrange and EEG (or ECG i can't remember which one >.<

and look at your brain. Get this sorted quick otherwise you will be on carbamazapine (tablets) for two years like i was :/
