It's crucial to read the whole thread. There's no point in replying to the thread if you haven't read it. You could make a mistake (using the wrong facts, or contradicting yourself). The last thing you want on the first reply of your thread that you spent 20-30 mnutes making is for some noob who needs 100 posts to view the Auctions section to come along and reply 'tl;dr'.
Finally, somebody who posts my most common question! Usually, the threads that take the most time and effort don't get read and people leave stupid replies, or the dreadful cool story bro. It's very irritating. I usually get the comment
