I can remember reading a thread that was 3,4,5,6 pages long without 1 single flame or negative reply towards the poster in it. Now this new era of bad attitude has some kid trying to shut down a respected members thread without reason or justification. The trolling has gone down hill drastically. The only good troll left is carling :carling:
It makes me laugh making a thread discussing something perfectly valid and then some member with a 2 month registration date tries to shut it down with disrespect and address me like he actually knows me. Like wut?
NGU used to operate as a whole. Members respected members. Threads were fun to read and there was a spirit amongst the community. Now it is immature failed attempts of trolling and unnecessary comments simply made in an attempt to kill another members thread. I know I am not the only old fag to see this as I can tell some others feel the same way about the effect the newer members are having on the quality of NextGenUpdate.
Take this thread how you want. Flame it if you want. But I will be surprised if a member with a 2008 or early 2009 registration date argues it.
There is no point in making a thread just to receive comments like "I love you you're so cool" because that doesn't create discussion. We need some good debates and disagreements to have, it livens thing us a bit.
Some people are more opinionated than others, nothin wrong with that.

I think the majoirty of active members in the early community have already established that, nothing we can do really. With the site reaching almost 600k members it will probably keep going downhill...

The only thing I find is that members don't give new members the chance they deserve. They're all called leaches, newfags ect. without being given a chance, sure some are leaches and fags but they will always be unless we give them respect. An example can be if a new member posts a thread in the wrong section, forgets to put a source whatever they are flame and -rep'd. Even though we have all been there as new members.

Maybe they are negative to peoples threads due to the fact they get called "newfags"... I mean if you want to get respect you have to give respect also :y: It is not a one way street
