Post: Immortal Technique -- WOW!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just got his The 3rd World CD, and he is amazing! I can't believe I haven't heard of him before. If every song is as good as the first few songs I've listened to have been this may top Eminem as my favorite rapper ever.

Anyone ever heard of this guy? His ryhmes are amazing! His beats are great! And the overall flow he has in his songs is great. The only thing to see now is will I still like his music in like 6 months, if I do, he may actually be better than Eminem.

Indeed. It is a shame how limited, narrow, and perverse the minds of our youth-the future of our society- are becoming. I have respect for Immortal Technique, an admiration that I hold for only a handful of artists in the rap/hip-hop genre.

Do a barrel roll!
He's pretty good. But honestly I feel he's almost a bit pretentious. He tries to add philosophy and stuff into his raps but it doesn't really fit. Like I think in Dominant species or Industrial revolution at the beginning he's all like "immortal technique, yeah, metaphysics." But the song has nothing to do metaphysics and when he tries to be philosophical he contradicts himself. I like their beats, and they have some nice lines ("So if your message aint shit, **** the records you sold. Cause you go platinum, it's got nothing to do with luck, it just means a million people are as stupid as ****!") but a ton of people are way better.

And if your favorite is Eminem, ewww. His voice is good for rapping and his technique is good, but his lyrics are pretty shitty. They're not like Lil Wayne shitty, but they're average, or below average. If you like real rap, listen to artists like Atmosphere, Macklemore, Murs, Brother Ali, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Eyedea (****ing lyrical genius, he basically takes Plato and Descartes' philosophy and turns them into thoughtful raps, it's beast. Shame he died from heroine though). And all the old school rappers are pretty dope too, Tupac, Biggie, the classics man. They rap about stuff that's real, they don't just make shit up to sell albums.
