I'm sure most of you have things you want to accomplish in life, but what have you done to make these accomplishments happen?
My Algebra teacher, Mr. K, told us a story on Friday.
To summarize, he always wanted to play soccer professionally and become a teacher, even as a little kid.
He played soccer whenever he could, all through junior high and highschool.
Everyone told him he couldn't do it, even his own coach.
But as senior year came around, he was determined to get noticed and get a scholarship.
His straight A's and superb soccer skills got him $40,000 in scholarship money, and an offer to join the brazil football team.
He moved all the way to brazil, got his degree in mathematics, and played soccer until he injured his ankle.
He then moved out to southern California, to be a math teacher at Monte Vista Middle School.
He has fulfilled his childhood dreams, and now inspires 100+ kids a year to fulfill theirs too.
He showed us this video for further inspiration.
The Project:
Write a list of your dreams, and as you achieve them, check that dream off the list.
Say you had 10 childhood dreams, and you accomplished 8-9 of them, you lived a pretty good life then, correct?
But if you only achieve 2-3, then you probably made some bad decisions in your life.
Moral of the story/tl;dr - Follow your dreams and make good decisions
This is inspirational and yea if you want something you gotta work for it like me my thing is I wanna play tennis on the college level but I gotta practice I'm above average player but nothing spectacular
