Jonathan Springer, creator of Tactical NAV and battalion fire support officer with the 101st Airborne Division. Tactical NAV is an iPhone app that helps soldiers in mapping, plotting, and photographing waypoints on the battlefield. It primarily uses the Military Grid Reference (MGRS). It works like a wartime location-based service, conveying coordinates to supporting units.
