The university is currently working to repair the flagpole and have a new flag flown over the Parade Ground as soon as possible.

With a sense of pride for their country and their university, LSU’s ROTC cadets have placed official colors at the base of the War Memorial and plan to have those flags flown until the flagpole is repaired. They are also standing guard until then.

I personally take this as a threat to my country, I dare one of those ragheads to do that again.
**UPDATE**
I was informed by a personal friend that the flag pole has been repaired and the Red, White, and Blue is flying again. ROTC cadets are still guarding the memorial.
