What should be, and what one has a right to are two entirely different things. Sure, to an extent we deserve some recognition for our time in the staff. And we have it: Our user bars. Do we have a right to those user bars or anything else? No, we don't. The administration has every right to remove every bit of recognition we have, and honestly no one should complain about it.
Sure, I want a bold name. But I also realize that it's only a username on a website. Bold name or no bold name shouldn't make much a difference.

Very well put Schaff. And besides, it's more an issue of respect than aesthetics.
I think nearly everyone on the site supports giving bold back to Ex-Staff, but no one is fighting for anything anymore.
I think the March revolt against Outsider, after Shivers real statement and F33L's glorious threads, showed the membership the futility in fighting for what is right here. What is the God Damn Point ?????
The real principled members were forced to show what choices you have here anymore. Retire, leave, or conform.
Ask Shiver, Jim E, Gobble, MBO, or Como what their choices were over standing up for what they felt was right??
The Truth about Bold user name is it is only really noticed in the Shout Box.. Anywhere else and we can see your user Bar..But why fight for it when site management continues to show they are not willing to take a stand, so why should I???
Travis owns the place and completely controls the management now. He quietly proved it over the last management change and there is no one left that is going to stand up to him. And the general membership has since proved that they will never make a stand against him again like they did in March.
Frankly he could check out again till October and no one would say boo, or even notice..
It is a choice now, Leave the site or stay and stop caring, and frankly I am too disillusioned to decide which to do....
I guess I'll stick around and quietly whine about things and hate myself for not being as principled as as some of the recent retirees, But I believe this is a very different place than 60 days ago and it is not just the VB4. The community lost its spirit along with the change to VB4...
