(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, once again, I'm back with another guide! Today, this guide is going to be about you creating your own Video game, for the PC. And you can save it as an .exe for people to play.

First, you need: You must login or register to view this content. - Once you have that downloaded, open it up. Some people might get a Message saying: "Failed to set data for," just click OK.

Now, once you have Game Maker open, find the little sprite image that has the icon of a red pacman looking thing, wich looks like this:

You must login or register to view this content.

Click it, and then a little box should pop up. Change the name to: Player - Then click edit sprite. You can edit it to what-ever you want the Player Sprite to look like. My result is just a black circle.

Now, click the little Green Check/OK button, and the window will close, and then that's your Player/Character Sprite! Now, once again, make another sprite by clicking the Pacman button again:

You must login or register to view this content.

Then re-name it to Wall, edit the sprite to anything you want, then close the window again, and thats your wall sprite. Now click on the blue ball, which is to the right of the Pacman Icon.

A window will pop-up, name the object to "Wall." Then where it says sprite, and below that has a drop down box, click the Drop down box and change the sprite to wall.

Then click the OK/Green-Check button, and then click the blue circle again to make another object. This time, change the sprite to Player instead of wall. And then look for the button that says "Add Event." Once you press that, an options box should pop-up. Click, Collision and then click Wall.

Once you have clicked wall, look on the side menu:

You must login or register to view this content.

Click the tab that says, Main2. Then below the little Info line, right click this button:

You must login or register to view this content.

Then insert the following message: You ran into the wall, the game will now restart. Once you have typed that in, click OK. Then, look for this button on the same Main2 tab:

You must login or register to view this content.

Right click it.

Now, click the "Add Event" button once again, but this type on the options menu select Keyboard. Then another list will pop-up, and click "Left." Once you click Left, go to the side menu.

You must login or register to view this content.

Then right click the button that has about 5 arrows going in all directions. Then edit the options to be like this:

You must login or register to view this content.

Then, close the box by clicking the OK/Green-Check mark button. Then, click add event, keyboard, then this time selecting Right. Then on the side menu, do the same thing, but when the box opens, click the right arrow instead of the left arrow, and set the speed to the same thing as before, 5.

Then, close the box by clicking the OK/Green-Check mark button. Then, click add event, keyboard, then this time selecting Up. Then on the side menu, do the same thing, but when the box opens, click the up arrow instead of the left arrow, and set the speed to the same thing as before, 5.

Then, close the box by clicking the OK/Green-Check mark button. Then, click add event, keyboard, then this time selecting Down. Then on the side menu, do the same thing, but when the box opens, click the down arrow instead of the left arrow, and set the speed to the same thing as before, 5.

Now, once that is done, click the button that is right beside the blue ball, to the right. A grid should come up. Down in the bottom left corner, un-check the box that says: Delete Underlying

Then right above the check box, their should be a drop down box. Click the Player Object, and set it where you want to. Then click the Wall object, and set a wall around the whole level. Or, to make a meaning of this, make a little path where the ball and barely fit. And when the ball touches the Wall, the game will restart.

Once you've done all that. Click OK, and the Grid should go away. Go up to File > Save as > then you put in your name, and save your game. But to save it as an .exe for people to play, click this button:

You must login or register to view this content.

Then, if you want make the game playable, for people to download. Go to host-a.net and upload your game their. Make sure it is the .exe game. Winky Winky

The end!

im currently in the process of making an NGU multiplayer FPS, with up to 8 players in a game Smile. good post.

also, if you're looking to embed games into web pages, then adobe flash is the engine for you. its simple enough once you get the hang of it.

I like making guides, and I'm wanting to make more, just thinking of what would be a good guide to make.
