I have a connective tissue disorder called Erlers-Danlos Syndrome, it had multiple effects such as weakening the circulatory system, brittle bones, weakened heart etc. but one of the effects is it causes degeneration of the retina and connective muscle tissues of the eye. It can in some cases cause blindness. I'm lucky at 25 I can still see well enough without glasses that I can use a computer meaning I will probably still be able to see with strong glasses at 50 although it will get worse. Unfortunately I also get migraines, have dones since the age of 5. Having weakened muscle tissue in the eye means strenuous work for the eye, such as looking at overly complex patterns, quickly moving patterns or flashing lights (I don't enjoy nightclubs), will usually be painful and for me, it will trigger a migraine, but also the muscles in my eye simply can't react properly to the different images on 3D screens in order to see anything other than a picture that looks like it's 2D but through one of those bendy mirrors at a fare/circus.
