Rep
So as you may know rep POWER now has a cap, 200+/100-, nothing has happened to your rep, the display or "E-penis" size. This simply stops people getting a rep star from 1 person rep'ing them, or totally destroy someones rep, which is stupid. this will also cut down on rep boosting and random rep, look at Dopey or Derek's rep, people "randomly" rep them in the hope of getting +rep'd back by their 700 rep power.
"why not just make stars worth more rep?"
If we did that would just be another thing people moan at, and making stars worth more, doesn't fix any problems, and would increase people boosting rep, to get to the star.

you mean what admins chose to do? I didn't make the desision alone, ADMINS DECIDED it was best to cap rep to benifit ALL members not just the rep whore members who wanted it to stay.

look at option 2 & 4, do they not add up to more than option 1? Yes they do, so a compromise was brought into effect, by the admins that run the site and do WHAT WE THINK, (not want) is best for the site, yes we listen to members input but if we THINK it is not gonna benefit the site or help or make things better we won't do it, take a look at site suggestions, we also don't need to go running to members with every little thing we do.
So yeah don't say we don't listen to the community or care, because we capped everyones precious Rep, if it means that much to you, go make a .co.nr site and get as much rep as you want then you can fight with yourself. :rolleyes:
I'l also say there is less than 30 people that actually do have 200 rep power, so moaning about something you don't even have is like me moaning because NASA went to the moon (to benefit the US), and me bitching because I don't have a space shuttle :confused:
I might also remind you its in the rules and when you first sign up on NGU, "NextGenUpdate staff have the right to change and alter things as we chose, without consulting the members."
one final thing - You must login or register to view this content. , now look and tell me a cap wasn't needed, if the cap wasn't in place he would of -rep'd for 350, so as you see, you said keep it, we have, but to please everyone we done what we think is best, so do tell me where we don't listen?
If we didn't listen rep would have been removed a long time ago as no staff actually like it..
Anyway thats the update, nothing big in staff world is changing, but if it does, it will be in the next community update.

Rep was capped cuz of Dopey and Derek xD I don't really care too much for rep, but I'm not gonna deny the fact that I enjoyed giving people a lot of rep. Now, rep is completely useless after like 19 or 20k cuz of the cap, but that's just what I think. The only way to stop rep boosting is to get rid of rep. Also, the part where you said the other 3 options from the poll add to be greater than the winning option it self is self defeating. That deems the poll useless to be honest. I mean, if we were to use your method of tallying up results and such, there would be no point. The first option had the most votes solely because members preferred it, but adding up the other 3 options to overcome the winning option isn't such a fair equalizer. Thanks for the update, however. :y: And, speaking of promos, where are the new News guys? :p

You know option one is 52% which means all three options together cannot be greater than the first one :p
