Although less than 1% of the Indian population practice buddhism today, that is still over 8 million people.
There are a crap load of Indians about 1.2 billion now, so 8 million is a small number there.
Scary to think that the 2 largest countries in the world make up nearly 40% of the worlds population.
And the third most populated country only makes up less than 4.5% ( Guess who?? )
Yes, there are some buddhists. :p America! =D
