littler?..lol,you mean they shrunk?
muscle will eventually shrink if the requency and muscle stimulation is not continually applied.
a possible reason for your muscles to shrink is that you did not consume enough protein for your (worked) muscle to recuperate and grow.
In that I mean you did not eat the required amount of say, beef/chicken/fish etc to maintain your bicep muscle, and once that happens, your body will burn muscle/fat for energy use.
another reason I could think of is that since you stopped "working out",your bicep muscle will slowly return to the shape it was in before you started training.
Being individuals, everyones' body reacts differently to training as the same can be said of how quick the muscles return to their "normal" shape after you have ceased training.

Your first port of call should be natural protein like beef, chicken, eggs, fish etc,not pills and protein shakes lol.
Any pill or protein shake should ALWAYS be a supplement, meaning they (help out) with any deficiencies in your diet and NOT be taken/used as,or replacing your main meal.Don't rely on them too much,as you don't know half the stuff used in the ingredients.
I've tried a lot of different pills and protein shakes in my earlier training years and i have doubts to their intended purpose as stated on the package/bottle.
It's also hard to tell if the product you're using/taking is actually working,so a lot of trial and error is expected.
I mean, the best way is to listen to what your body is telling you..for example if i drink a protein shake after a workout session, and 1/2hour or an hour afterwards I feel refreshed and not tired then I know the protein shake did its job,so yeah,it's very important to listen to your body.
They're quite expensive, even for someone with a job.
It's hard for me to recommend to you the products I use as you may be in another country/locale with totally different products .
Your best bet is to ask around different health food/supplement stores of what is best for your situation/training and compare their recommendations.obviously, the person that feeds you the most info is the more knowledgable in the field.
And if you're even keener than that,do some research on diet and nutrition.
Once you get a handle on the basics of what the body needs to function,in turn the knowledge you gained will make it easier for you to choose what is right for you.
Good luck m8

Fcuk Do I Put Here
Yeah that's a reason why I try to never leave a big gap when training, especially when I need the extra supplies and food my body needs to maintain the shape :FU: But what RAGE said you need to have a good diet when you stop for a while and take some supplements :y:

I take it you're talking bout the protein shake?
Again,as I mentioned in my earlier post,it's hard for me to recommend what is best for you as I have no idea how your body works with what food.
As a rule of thumb, go for the one with a higher carb ratio to protein,as your body needs to replenish the energy lost in training with the carbs and the protein to help rebuild muscle.
I'ts always a good idea to go for a product with less sugar,as too much is no good for your health and excess sugar in the body will force it to store that unused sugar as fat,for later usage.
This less is better principle should also apply to salt and oil as well.
Well, your body stores a lot of foods that you consume into fats for energy.
This is the main reason why there are so many obese people as they eat more than what their body needs to function.
It's very simple really...excess food consumption + no excercise = fat.
