i play tons of violent games (fighting games and shooters) and im also somewhat violent but i dont think that the games have anything to do with it because that was back right after i got caught with stuff and was detoxing so i think it had to do with some of the things i was doing not playing or watching so i dont think this violent video games= violent people thing is a theory also because my gf she is the nicest person in the world would never hurt anything bigger than a horsefly and she places the same games.

lol, wasnt expecting godwin's law to come into play right off the bat, but...

violent people do violent things. the media always wants a common enemy because it makes more business for them - reporting on cases that don't actually exist.

You got that right...kinda. It does come from your brain and it is chemicals and shit. When you view or listen to things and experience things your brain and other organs release chemicals that effect you fully. Things like hostility, rage, happiness, fear are expressed. Everybody is diffrent and they react diffrently to things. It is crazy some of the things you run across on TV and in games. Sorta like when your driving around in Grand Theft Auto 4 at night and you stop and pick up a hooker and drive her to a dark alley....sorry.

That doesn't mean that they don't cause people to be violent, just because he was violent before video games were invented.

I think that violent video games can cause certain people to idolize violence, or think it's okay. The games themselves do not cause most people to become violent, but they plant seeds in people's minds that can eventually lead to players believing that violence is okay, which can lead to violent acts

Depends what age you are brought into it, if you did it from a VERY early age you may be affected, but later on when you know the difference between right/wrong you WON'T be affected unless you have metal problems..
