(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Mike Brown just agreed to a 4 year, $18 million contract to replace Phil Jackson as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. I wanted to know if you think this is good or not. In my opinion, it all starts going downhill for the Lakers from here on out. Might be the end of an era of basketball that was dominated by Los Angeles. With an aging Kobe, and no more Phil, I just can't see the Lakers playing like they used to anymore. Hopefully they won't pull a Knicks and just be bad for years to come till they pick up another star. Phil Jackson and Kobe are gonna be VERY tough shoes to fill.

Your thoughts?

I didn't imagine them hiring him, i would have thought of some famous/retired coach, that of Pat Riley...

I was hoping Brian Shaw would get the spot. He's been Phil's sideman for a while and I think he'd do a good job running the team.

You guys now Mike Brown made the playoffs all five years he was in Cleveland, he was 08-09 coach of the year, and he gets no respect? Best record in the nba last year and the year before, yes, that might have had something to do with LeBron James but he is a proven winner.

That doesn't mean shit. If I had Lebron I could do the same....
