The rules say you can not ask for Rep in your signature or user title and was reinforced by an senior Moderator when the new VB system and rules modifications were done:You must login or register to view this content.
Here is a list of members from the top 500 in rep that have a rep request in their signature or custom user title. It is actually very small number 29 out of 500 or about 5%
Lets see if they have them removed and start posting the others that you see on here...
Frankly, It is the one rep abuse issue that has always pissed me off...
Go ahead and hang in the SB and Link away. But get it off your Signature !!!

When I was new here, I had "Please +rep if I hepled" in my signature. I took it out when someone told me it was against the rules, but I still see it in a few other member's signatures from time to time.

Rep whoring is facking easy in the shoutbox. There's only a few people that -rep when you make "I'm 100 from a star" so why not?
I mean I got 6000 rep in one month from rep whoring because I didn't get enough from being helpful in the forums. Now I get thanked and repped so easy because people think I am more important now, No I'm not.
Rep is little corrupted :p.

Nothing against you personally, but what you have said you have done in the 6 months since you have joined the site is exactly what is wrong with the system.
Your statement should merit a 6K rep reduction, You clearly admit to getting that amount through bogus methods. What is screwed up is that there are 25 to 50 others that have done the exact same thing. You really think -Ben- gained more Rep than you, in half the time, by making more useful posts and threads???
