Man Has created many great achievements and I want to know what you guys think they are.

In my opinion, the hubble space telescope is mans greatest acheivement. This telescope can see billions of Galaxies in our universe. The fact that this telescope had to be put together PERECTLY and then put on top of a rocket, which would then blast off into space, and have to launch without breaking is pretty amazing to me. So much precision and effort was put into this amazing object. The fact that is about the size of TWO school buses makes it even more insane to think about. In the deep space photograph that it took The area of the sky that it took a picture of was the size of George Washington's eyeball on a nickel. The photograph below had to be exposed for 40 hours straight in order to see any light in the distant universe.

These are real images taken by the Hubble Telescope :y:

Almsot every spec of light in these pictures is a galaxy, containing BILLIONS of stars. The light coming from these stars started it's journey to earth about 10 BILLION years ago. It blows my mind that such an imense thing can by found by US humans.

NOW, you tell me what you guys think man's greatest achievement is and why.

I think it is the invention of the micro processor, the development of flight, and everything that has occurred in the last 100yrs.

More has occurred in the last 100 years than in the 100 thousand before in mankind's history.
Just surviving it is an achievement, let alone all that has been achieved.

Mans' greatest achievement would be to stop killing each other and the environment he inhabits.
