We actually didn't lose any money because the apparent 'hacker' just transferred money through both of my parents accounts to see if they would notice, luckily they did. Therefore, causing my parents and I to both get brand new bank account numbers and debit/credit cards. The police were not contacted simply because the 'hacker' didn't actually steal anything, we just contacted the bank and changed all of our info.

Anyways, I have an old Paypal account, which, when I saw last had around $10 in it. Paypal called my home phone around a month ago and said that I had an outstanding balance of -$195.00 in my Paypal account. I haven't been on that Paypal in forever since my accounts had gotten hacked so I asked Paypal why. They said that someone charged a 'chargeback' through their credit card company and Paypal refunded them the full amount. I have no idea what the chargeback or anything entitled. I signed into my Paypal account and took off my home phone number thinking I was in the clear because I didn't want to be bothered by them anymore.

Today, right after school, Paypal called again. This time on my cell phone. (By the way, Paypal said they issued a claim to the fraud department but it came back negative, therefore, they are saying I still had access or whatever to the account whenever it went negative/it was my fault). Today they said I still owed $195 and were asking me questions such as where I could be reached, if I could commit to paying any money today, etc. I simply told them I didn't get my paycheck until next week because I was scared, I told them I didn't have any money at the moment. They told me if I didn't call back by next Thursday they would dismiss the case and send it to another case (Meaning they would pass the case onto a 'debt collection agency' of some sort).

Now I have no idea what to do. I'm only 15 years old, I really don't want to have to tell my parents about all this. So my main questions are...

Could Paypal mess up/ruin my credit score for the future?

Do they really have any information about me since the bank account/debit card on file is now closed?

Is there anything else I can do?

Please don't say contact the police, sue them, or anything of that nature. I want to keep this on the 'down low' for now. My parents will most likely be pissed if I tell them.

I'm not 100% I didn't cause this dilemma. The last thing I bought was an HD PVR from someone for around $200 a couple months ago. Please give me advice/support. I'm nervous, scared, and honestly have no idea what to do!
