Its actually a very safe sport . However California Legislative begs to differ . They are trying to pass a bill SB 978 . Which will ban all imitations fire arms . Paintballs and bullets are two different things please if your in the Cali area save paintball Cool Man (aka Tustin) .

Wow, a state that wanted to make pot legal now wants to make paintball illegal. Seriously California needs to settle down.

The California Legislative is trying to pass SB Bill 798 which calls for imitation firearms, a classification which would include paintball markers, to be brightly colored (i.e., orange) in order to distinguish them from real firearms. This is a serious concern to the paintball industry which could require all paintball markers in speedball and scenario play to be painted a bright color.

@OP you can't read? It says they will have to be bright colors NOT being banned.

OP I've changed the thread title to save you the embarrassment :p. As clearly stated the bill is merely trying to force manufacturers to make all imitation firearms (including paintball markers) brightly coloured, which is probably a good idea if anything.
