Me; I would never hit a women in the goal to hurt her. If she hits me I stop her from hitting me. It Just doesn't seen right for me to hit a girl out of anger (exception of rather big health consequences)

Women are the weaker sex therefore being of lesser build,not as strong and are easily restrained.
To pick a fight with a woman does not prove you're a better man and is a mis-match in most eyes.
We can't hide the fact that is what society thinks,and to go against would only give us a bad rap sheet.
The phrase "pick on someone your own size" comes to mind.
Like most,for me,hitting a woman is a last resort;if I felt she was a threat to myself or family.

On a serious note, I would indeed hit a women if it was ENTIRELY necessary. There are women who would cut your throat for just looking at them. The one's who look at women as inferior and believe they shouldn't be struck in necessary, you're the problem they are even differentiated from males.
