Shards of titanium from the wrecked A-12 scatter the crash site as aerospace historian Peter Merlin recently searches the debris field with a metal detector.



Merlin's research into recently declassified documents on the OXCART project unearthed a memorandum that reported that all traces of the plane had been removed from the crash scene in 1963.



"My experience with crash sites, however, is that there is always something left," Merlin says in the Area 51 documentary.



And in fact recent investigations of the site have turned up parts of the plane's wing structure as well as cockpit remnants still bearing the stamp "skunk works"—the covert department of the defense contractor Lockheed, which worked on the plane.

I think this show will just tell you some of the things that have happened there, like that spy plane in the pictures. If you think they will show what currently going on, you're a complete **** tard. Things being built there will not be seen to the public for at least 10 more years, or if ever at all. Maybe Area 51 is a cover up of a cover up of a real testing ground somewhere else. Keep all the attention on that and be somewhere else with little attention. Makes sense. Imagine if USA went to war on their own turf. All the enemy have to do is parachute in their hundreds into Area 51. Unless they have a self destruct button then the enemy would get in. Would they really risk that happening?

Think outside the box for a moment. Area 51 was made in 1945 so the Americans could have a nuclear testing facility that soon turned into an aviation and aerospace testing facility which then turned into a secret projects facility. I guarantee you there are no Aliens at the base as it would be 'to obvious'; ever wonder why some of the worlds top scientists go to Antarctica to study penguins Thousands of miles from civilisations where nothing can be seen because of the mass amount of 'whiteness' due to the ice? Yea... that's where the shit goes down, most likely hidden in a re-enforced ice cave or something.

It's frightening to think of how many things were completely useless until they were discovered!
